Special Meetup - Crash event for companies in the music, event and gaming industries
The Musa+ – Tempo to profitability project
responds to the need to revive the music and event industries after the corona pandemic. In the project, Central Finnish companies in the music, event and game industries will be encountered, mapping work will be done on potential business models in the game industry and the current state of the music and event industries.
The purpose of the project is to increase the business and business development know-how of central Finnish music and event industry companies, and to bring them together with game industry professionals at the edge of new technologies

Salla Hakkola (MA, Sibelius Academy) is an internationally awarded harpist composer. She is best known for composing music for Angry Birds, Clash of Clans, and Merge Mansion. From 2011 to 2019, she worked at Rovio as a composer, producer, and music consultant, making music for games, animations, trailers, and in artist collaboration. Starting in 2019, she works through her own audio company, composing music, for example for Supercell and Metacore's Merge Mansion. She recently won two prices at the NYX Game Awards 2023: Grand Winner for Best Mobile Game Music for Merge Mansio Games, and Gold Winner for Best Game Music Sountrack for Friends & Dragons.
Markus Pajakkala has worked as a songwriter and producer of the Yousician application. He has been an active member in and behind bands such as Ellips, Von Hertzen Brothers, Waltteri Torikka, as well as his own band Utopianisti. He hosts monthly jam nights at the Tampere G Livelab Club. He graduated in 2013 in Music Technology at the Sibelius-Academy.
Sami Toivanen is one of the founders of Cityspotting. Founded in 2020, the gamified urban adventure solves the motivation problem of movement by offering inspiring perspectives and excursions from your own city.

IGDA Kajaani and it’s amazing volunteers will be hosting the annual Finnish Game Jam (FGJ) -event at Kajaani University Of Applied Sciences. Sponsored by our friends at Black Smoke Studios & Critical Force, and supported by our partners at KAMK & KAMK.GG
The purpose of the event is to form teams to create a game within a 48 hour timeframe. We will form teams, work together and develop a game based on a theme announced at the start of the jam.
Registering for on-site access is free. However for on-site access it is mandatory to reserve your spot in the event.
KAMK Kajaani University Of Applied Sciences site will be open and accessible 24/7 for all ticket holders and has a volunteer overseer for the whole duration. The site has refigerators, microwaves and showers available. We also have a zero tolerance policy for alcohol.
Event will start with at approximately 17:00 with the opening words of FGJ and revealing of the theme. Feel free to come to chill at KAMK whenever during the day :)

Ecocity Game Gathering is happening at the end of October! Join us for an evening of talks (gamification meets green lifestyle), snacks and networking. And as it is Halloween weekend, dressing for the occasion is allowed! Our venue is the one and only Mustakallion Vesitorni, the highest sauna and event venue in Lahti!
What we’ll have:
• Interesting speaker from Games industry will share their experience in gamification
• Short presentation from the sponsors & brainstorming on how to gamify green lifestyle values
• Best costume competition (Halloween meets green lifestyle so try to combine these two)
• Networking
• Sauna and chilling at the highest sauna and terrace in Lahti!
• Snacks & refreshments (please send us email if you have dietary restrictions)

To boost everyone’s energy, and enthusiasm this year: we are open for guest riders who’d like to join us for a few kilometres along the route. Everyone is welcome to jam! Coders, artists, cyclists, jam enthusiasts! Expect social media craze, participation, excitement, exhaustion, and triumph!
