Special Meetup - Crash event for companies in the music, event and gaming industries

The Musa+ – Tempo to profitability project

responds to the need to revive the music and event industries after the corona pandemic. In the project, Central Finnish companies in the music, event and game industries will be encountered, mapping work will be done on potential business models in the game industry and the current state of the music and event industries.

Salla Hakkola (MA, Sibelius Academy) is an internationally awarded harpist composer. She is best known for composing music for Angry Birds, Clash of Clans, and Merge Mansion. From 2011 to 2019, she worked at Rovio as a composer, producer, and music consultant, making music for games, animations, trailers, and in artist collaboration. Starting in 2019, she works through her own audio company, composing music, for example for Supercell and Metacore's Merge Mansion. She recently won two prices at the NYX Game Awards 2023: Grand Winner for Best Mobile Game Music for Merge Mansio Games, and Gold Winner for Best Game Music Sountrack for Friends & Dragons.

Markus Pajakkala has worked as a songwriter and producer of the Yousician application. He has been an active member in and behind bands such as Ellips, Von Hertzen Brothers, Waltteri Torikka, as well as his own band Utopianisti. He hosts monthly jam nights at the Tampere G Livelab Club. He graduated in 2013 in Music Technology at the Sibelius-Academy.

Sami Toivanen is one of the founders of Cityspotting. Founded in 2020, the gamified urban adventure solves the motivation problem of movement by offering inspiring perspectives and excursions from your own city.

Vesa Peltola (Ceo, Noveltive Ltd.) showcases Noveltive and demonstrates the company’s new virtual studio.

At Bitecore Kim shipped Bitecore's first title game: Bounce Rescue! to Xbox, PS4 & Steam, while working on Please Be Patient he worked as a sound designer for Gates Of Horn and Ivory, and was working as a developer in the prototype of Finnish Army Simulator. Nowadays Kim works as a Producer at Critical Force, as the producer of Critical Ops, an FPS mobile game.
