World Quantum Day is a global celebration that takes place annually on the 14th of April, or on nearby days. Join us in Jyväskylä, the heart of Finland, for an exploration into the cutting-edge world of quantum information technologies, quantum games, and the latest news in quantum computing research! As part of the esteemed World Quantum Day 2024 program, the Faculty of Information Technology welcomes students, enthusiasts, scholars, and curious minds alike to immerse themselves in the wonders of quantum information technologies. We present:

  • Interactive exhibits with hands-on demonstrations showcasing the latest achievements in the field of quantum computing

  • Quantum games which use the quantum physics and challenges designed to intrigue and entertain

  • Cutting-edge research presented by the leading experts as they delve into the forefront of quantum computing research

Whether you're a programmer, a tech enthusiast, or simply intrigued by the limitless possibilities of quantum information technology, welcome to Resonate - Quantum Day 2024 at University of Jyväskylä!

IGDA Future & Global Quantum Game Jam 2023

We welcome you to join the online Quantum Game Jam, an event where you will collaborate with game developers, quantum physicists, visual artists, musicians, coders and others in order to develop games that connect to quantum physics either through real machinery or simply thematically. Materials about both game development and quantum physics will also be shared before the event. No prerequisites required, merely the curiosity and an interest in quantum games!

Join our Quantum Game community in our dedicated Discord server, which will serve as the main platform for the jam.  Consider using your real name or adding it to the server specific nickname and feel free to introduce yourself , your talents and background at the specific introductory channels to get a role and for others to find you!

Do you like drawinging characters?
Do you want to learn from the best possible professional!?

Maroto (you might know him as Bambinomonkey) has worked in the animation industry for over 16 years for some of the largest animation and VFX companies out there - Nexus, the Mill, Sony, Psyop and more.

He has also been working with Pori-based Nopia since Teemu Erämaa founded the company in 2010.

Maroto has an extensive, impressive resume of work as a concept artist, illustrator, and art director.

In the workshop Maroto will tell some theory on illustration and he will showcase his working methods. If you enjoy drawing and have been thinking about career in games or animation, this is the workshop to be!

Maroto will participate via Zoom from Spain while IGDA Pori moderators are in Finland.

Welcome to the IGDA Future GameDev Workshops at Assembly Online 2020!

This year Assembly is taking place online and so are IGDA Future workshops – we have prepared art, tech and gaming content that will give you hands-on-experience in creating awesome 3D models, pixel art, shaders and retro games as well as tips and tricks on online roleplaying practices.
